Delester Jefferson Highlighted in the St. Louis American

Delester Jefferson and Laymen Habitat Work Highlighted in the St. Louis American      Delester Jefferson   St. Louis, MO -- The St. Louis local host committee for the Congress of Christian Education this past June spearheaded a Habitat for Humanity Housing ministry for a local couple. This was a partnership with Habitat Humanity St. Louis and the National Congress of Christian Education.   Laymen from around the country came to assist Jefferson (left) and the Missouri State laymen who played a major role in building the house. There was a special dedication ceremony during the Congress where the Convention and Congress leadership were present.   The St. Louis American highlighted this effort in their December 24th edition. 2013 Louis B. Parker Workshop

ATTENTION: YOUTH COUNSLERS, DIRECTORS, YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES, PASTORS, ETC...

Dear Brother & Sisters in Christ,

The time has come once again for the annual Louis B. Parker Workshop hosted by the Missouri Baptist State Laymen,

The workshop will be April 26 & 27, 2013 and the place will be Greater Community M.B. Church which is located at 21325 hwy Y Saint Roberts, Missouri.  The host hotel will be The Comfort Inn located at 103 Saint Robert Blvd.  Saint Roberts, Missouri.  Room rates are $50 per night for  double queen-size beds or one King-size bed.  I know that it the workshop is in April but we want to get the ball rolling now.  Last year Mt. Carmel hosted the event in Mexico, Mo and it was a tremendous success the best turn-out in over 15 yrs.  and to top it off our Jr. Laymen from Mt. Carmel won the state basketball championship! We are very excited about bringing home the championship again this year but our ultimate goal is to "Become Effective Followers of Christ" which is our Jr. Laymen motto.  This workshop is not just for Laymen or Jr. Laymen there is also classes for the young ladies and ladies as well we welcome all ages for this is a family workshop so bring the whole family. More announcements about this will be forthcoming in the near future, please check your schedule and plan to attend this amazing workshop!
