Reponse to Haiti Disaster From President Harold Simmons Many of you have called and emailed regarding the laymen's response and action regarding the disaster in Haiti. I have talked to Rev. Randy Vaughn, the convention's Disaster Relief Coordinator and we will be following the direction of Dr. Scruggs and Rev. Vaughn. We currently have a medical mission team in place waiting for directions from the National. Brother Stanard will be leading the medical mission under Rev. Vaughn. We will also be asking for funds to be sent to the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. with a memo 'Haiti'.
