For Immediate Release Contact: Thad Jones National Baptist Laymen's Movement New Congress Class to Train Youth Workers to Teach Boys Starts at Indianapolis Congress "Biblical Sons Strong in Grace" Dear Friends: The class that the laymen have been recruiting and signing-up men for the last two years is about to begin this coming June 21, 2011 during the National Congress of Christian Education in the Allen Jordan Seminar. The president and dean of the Congress, Dr. George Waddles, Sr. and Dr. Elliott Cuff, respectively, wanted the laymen to be more active and involved in the training of the young men that attend the Congress session each June. They wanted to have more of a male influence in the young men's lives and training. THIS IS A CALL TO ALL THE MEN WHO SIGNED UP TO TEACH BOYS TO COME TO INDIANAPOLIS AND TAKE THE TRAINING. The class is titled, "Biblical Sons Strong in Grace". The class will be taught by I. V. Reeves, Asst. Vice President of the Education Ministry for the laymen. The Purpose:   The purpose of this class is to facilitate training to the youth instructors on how to teach our young's men class "Biblical Sons Strong in Grace".   Objectives: 1.  Teach young men about Christ and how to become a Christian. (Salvation) - ROMAN 10:8-17   2.  Teach young men how to study the Bible and how to share the Gospel.      4 SPIRITUAL LAWS BOOKLET   3.  Teach young men basic Christian characteristics. (Fruit Of The Spirit)       GALATIANS 5:22-23 & 2 PETER 5-11   4.  Teach young men spiritual values of life.       ISAIAH 51:1-14 & PSALMS 15:1-5 & PROVERBS 4:20-27   5.  Teach young men how to be respectful to others according to the bible.      1 TIMOTHY 5:1-2 & 1 TIMOTHY 4:12 & EXODUS 20:1-17   6.  Teach young men how to be faithful to Jesus. - RUTH 1:1-22 & JOB 13:15   7.  Teach young men how to stay pure and focus.      GENESIS 39:1-23 & JAMES 4:7 & 2ND TIMOTHY 2:15-23   8.  Teach young men humbleness does not mean weakness - 1 PETER 4:5-7   9.  Teaching techniques - Discuss teaching styles Class Day and Times: The class will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday The class will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. The class room will be determined.
