Portfolios Await Discipleships Mid-Winter Board Session Nashville, Tennessee       Nashville, TN -- The National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc. Mid-Winter Board session will begin on Monday, January 18, 2013 in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. The leadership team of president Harold Simmons and General Secretary Thad Jones are already in the city awaiting the arrival of the delegates.     January is Discipleship Drive Month. Laymen leaders around the country are to ask their men to sign up or renew their affiliation with the National Baptist Laymen.    The Discipleship Ministry is a once-a-year registration for laymen of National Baptist churches. On receipt of the discipleship, laymen and supporters will receive a portfolio (held by Thad Jones above), and annual directory and calendar.   More than 200 discipleships were received two weeks prior to the start of the session.       The News Flash is designed to inform members, friends and supporters of late breaking news and events regarding the organization and the men and women who drive the movement.   Thad Jones is the publisher. tskm@swbell.net
