New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to Host National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc.

 

 

New Orleans, LA -- On this coming September  1 - 5, 2014 the 134th Annual Session of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc. will convene in the city of New Orleans, LA. The laymen's sessions will be held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center located at 900 Convention Center Blvd.

All parent body sessions will be held at the Convention Center. The laymen's program for the week is:

Laymen Foreign Mission Chairman to Travel to South Africa

  

Charlie RichmondWhitehouse, TX -- On Sunday August 3rd, Charlie Richmond, Jr. will be traveling with the Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. on a mission trip to South Africa. 

 

This trip will include mission visits to Johannesburg, Cape Town, and will end with mission work activities in Swaziland where over 650,000 are infected with HIV/AIDS, 46% of the population. 

 

Richmond says, "as I take on this mission journey, I solicit the prayers of our national laymen movement for myself as well as our brothers and sisters in Africa.  Go in prayer and ask God to prepare your hearts to give in support our mission efforts across the waters."

Tommie Frazier is the New President of the North Pacific Baptist State Convention Laymen

 

Tacoma, WA -- As of July 25, 2014, Tommie Frazier (left) was voted to be Washington state's (North Pacific Baptist Convention) laymen president.

 

Tommie Allen Frazier, a resident of Tacoma, WA was educated in the Tacoma Public Schools. He also attend Tacoma Community College.


Frazier is a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he has been a member for 44 years. He has been an active member of the Ebenezer Baptist District Association Laymen, North Pacific Baptist Convention Laymen, Gospel Music Workshop of America Washington State Chapter and the Tacoma Public Utilities Toast Master Club #4958.


 

 

Letter From Royal Court Chairman

This is to remind you that the Royal Court and the John L. Webb Banquet, will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Double Tree Hotel, 300 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA.

 

The Royal Court will take place at 6:00 p.m. and the John L. Webb Award & Recognition Banquet will follow at 7:45 p.m.

 

Having said all of that, WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE ONLY HAVE A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME TO MAKE THIS THE GREATEST AFFAIR EVER! WILL YOU HELP?

 

Remember, your State commitment for the Royal Court, a minimum of $750.00 for your contestant to march with his escort. We need your reply as soon as possible to ensure that we have enough trophies. All contestants need to be at the hotel by 5:00 p.m. Additionally, all contestants and their escorts must have a banquet ticket.

Laymen Evangelism Effort in the Bahamas
Set for July 31 - August 5
Evangelists Needed (Men and Women)

 

 

 

 

Dear Friends:

 

The Bahamas evangelistic trip is now set. Men and women are needed to witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

The dates are Thursday, July 31 to Tuesday, Aug 5, 2014.

 

The location is Nassau Bahamas, host pastor Dr. Carrington Pinder, St. Mark Native Baptist Church.

 

Free Housing is available (Dormitory  like apartments with Kitchen facilities).  Those wishing to stay in a hotel can also do so at their expense. We will need to know who is going as soon as possible.

 

Please send Mike Washington your flight Itinerary as soon as possible so pick up arrangements can be properly coordinated. Departure dates can vary depending on your schedules, but we would like to have everyone arrive by Thursday evening.
