Help is Needed in Birmingham, Alabama

Tornadoes Cause Much Damage

 

Men Needed Now

 

 

Birmingham, AL -- Due to the tornadoes that went through the south early this week, much damaged has been caused and many people have lost their homes, churches damaged and destroyed and businesses put out of operation.

 

President Harold Simmons and Dr. Randy Vaughn, Executive Director of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Disaster Relief Commission, is calling on all who can to come to Birmingham, AL to assist in the relief and clean up effort.

 

The Need

Men and women who can drive trucks, lift light items, and give a helping hand.

 

The Work

Just a helping hand. No building. 

 

Lodging

You will be lodged in shelters.

 

Transportation and other costs.

You will be on your own at this time. There is no budget to reimburse you.

 

Food

The locals will try to provide food from some of the agencies helping out. Be prepared

to cover your costs if necessary.
