"Praying With Spiritual Priority" is the Theme of H. B. Charles Lecture

Congress 2011 Wednesday1<![endif]>The National Baptist Laymen's  Allen Jorday Seminar continued on Wednesday, June 22, 11. The 10:00 a.m. session opened up again with prayer, scripture and praise from the devotion team.

Dr. Carlos Williams, (right) from Flint, Michigan, pastor of the Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle Church began the service with the Discussion Period speaking on the convention theme, "Solidarity With the Savior".  His central thought was taken from Colossians 3:16.

Following the discussion period, the Adopt-a-School ministry gave a report on the ministry and asking the laymen and supporters to place more emphasis on it in their respective cities and communities. A brochure was distributed to the attendees giving information on how to start an Adopt-a-School ministry and who to contact for more information.

Dr. H. B. Charles, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida (right) continued his lectureship series with the theme, "Praying With Spiritual Priority". His message was taken from Colossian 1:9-12.

Charles had four points for the attendees to consider:

1. Pray for Devotion to God's Will

2. Pray to be Filled

3. Pray to Walk Worthy

4. Pray for Dependence on God's Power

Again the attendees were very attentive and focused on Charles' delivery and presentation of information as he preached with power.
