Mrs. Melinda Cade
Widow of former National Laymen President Walter Cade, Jr.
Kansas City, KS

Melinda Cade

Melinda Cade, Kansas City, Kansas, the widow of the 4th National Baptist Laymen president Walter Cade, Jr. passed away on October 27, 2011. She had been battling cancer the last couple of years.

  

Walter Cade, Jr. passed away in 2000. Melinda was a great asset to President Cade in helping with administration work for the movement and she was a great friend to all those who served.

  

Melinda continued to serve with the National Laymen. She gave leadership as chairwoman of the Wives and Women Supporters Prayer Breakfast. She wasn't able to make the breakfast in Orlando, Florida but was in attendance when the convention was hosted in Kansas City in September 2010.
