Scruggs was in Tyler, Texas recently at the North Star Baptist Church. He was at the Moderators Convention of the Texas Educational Baptist State Convention.

Be sure to check your email. | Alabama Layman Passes Away The General Secretary just got notified tonight that Jimmy Carter (no relations to the former president of the United States) passed away tonight.
He was a faithful member of the Northeast District in Alabama. He attended the Walter Cade, Jr. Southwest Workshop regularly. His brother, Rev. Clarence Carter also attended regularly and has appeared on program several times.
When arrangements are made, you will be notified so you can respond accordingly. | President Simmons' Mother Home From the Hospital Ms. Jeanette Turner, the mother of president Harold Simmons is home from the hospital.
She is at her home now with president Simmons and family giving 24 hour care. President Simmons has stated that she is coming along fine. The family requests your prayers. | Charlie Richmond to be Appointed Foreign Mission Director President Harold Simmons will be appointing Charlie Richmond, Jr. of Whitehouse, TX to the vacant Foreign Mission Director's position.
This was 1 of 14 recommendations that President Simmons made during his annual address this past September.
