Charlie Richmond to be Appointed
Foreign Mission Director

 

Charlie Richmond, Jr. of Whitehouse, Texas has been appointed by President Harold Simmons to lead the Foreign Mission Ministry of our National Baptist Laymen's Movement.

He will serve as an liaison to the National Foreign Mission Board.

 

He presently serves as laymen president of the Original East Texas Baptist Association in Tyler, Texas and Vice President-At-Large of the Texas Educational Baptist State Convention Laymen's Movement.

 

Recently he was added to the National Adopt-A-School Initiative team. Richmond is a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Winona, Texas where he serves on the deacons staff.

 

 

 

 

Chatham County Laymen to Sponsor Revival

 

The laymen of Chatham County located in Southeast Georgia will be sponsoring their 5th Annual One-Night Revival on Friday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m.

The theme for the revival is, "Focusing on Ministering to Others", I Peter 4:7-11. The revivalist will be the Rev. Timothy Sheppard, pastor of the Central Missionary Baptist Church in Thunderbolt. 
The revival will be held at the Bolton Street Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Donnell Baker is the laymen president.

 

 

 

 

Henry County Laymen to Host Annual Banquet  Henry County Tennessee

 

On April 13th, 2013, the Henry County laymen's ministry of Henry County, Tennessee will be sponsoring their annual banquet. It will be held at the 55 Central Community Center, on Jones Bend Road at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00.

 

The guest speaker will be Rev. Dennis Blaylock, pastor of New St. Luke Baptist Church, Jackson, TN.

 

 

 

 

John L. Webb Book Revised and Expanded

 

The book on the life, history and legacy of John L. Webb by P.H.O.E.B.E. Publishers of Hot Springs, AR was introduced to the laymen this past September at the Annual Session held in Atlanta, GA.

John Lee Webb: The Man and His Legacy Revised and Expanded edition will be available at the Congress of Christian Education held in St. Louis, MO this coming June 17 - 21.

John L. Webb, Hot Springs, AR was the first national laymen's president who served from 1923 to 1946.
