<!   March 9, 2013   Kansas Layman of the Year   Fred Brown of Independence, Kansas is the Kansas State Laymen "Layman of the Year". He is the recipient of the Ledgie Hill Award. It was awarded at the Gideon Banquet to benefit Camp Ascension held at the Reardon Civic Center in Kansas City, KS on today March 9, 2013. Ledgie Hill of Wichita, Kansas served faithfully in the local, district, state and national organizations prior to his death.       Thomas Celebrating First Anniversary   Rev. Keith Thomas is celebrating his first anniversary as pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Champaign, IL. Thomas serves in the National Laymen Junior Laymen Department and is the convener for the Bible Bowl.       Basketball Teams Traveling to St. Louis   Coaches, state presidents or counselors for junior laymen basketball teams traveling to St. Louis for the National Congress of Christian Education this coming June 17 - 21 should contact Asst.
