David Patton More Than an Oratorical Contest
Winner 

 

David Patton S. Patton II, Kansas City, KS and Kansas State Junior Laymen President is more than the winner of the Kaw Valley District Association oratorical contest that he won on Wednesday of this week.

David Bozeman Suffers Stroke

 

David Bozeman of Shiloh, Illinois suffered a stroke on last night, March 14th. Bozeman is the president of the Baptist General State Convention of Illinois laymen. He also serves as the National Follow-up Chairman in the evangelism ministry.

 

He is in ICU at Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL. When the doctors get him stabilized they are going to take him to surgery.

The book, John Lee Webb, The Man And His Legacy differs from the authors first book, The Winds of Change, as it covers Webbs' growth and development from Tuskegee Institute, his life as a family man, his rise in the Woodmen of Union Fraternal Order, the men he met that helped him to put Hot Springs, Arkansas on the map as a Negro tourist destination. John L. Webb was the first national laymen president. 1923 - 1946.
