Free Annual Credit Report

Did you know that you're entitled to a free annual credit report with each of the three national consumer reporting companies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion)? Check your credit regularly to help ensure that no loans, credit cards, or other financial obligations have been fraudulently initiated in your name.

You can find out more here … http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/credit/rights.shtm

editors note: I just started requesting these myself. After some consideration, to get the most out of it, I decided to mark my calendar to request from one agency every 4 months. That meets the “once per agency per 12 months” criteria, but allows me to check 3 times a year!
